LOCATION
The Visocnik Tourist Farm is situated in a wonderful hamlet of Ter. The well-known Golte recreational and tourist centre is only 5 km away. To arrive at The Visocnik Tourist Farm, which lies 1121 m above the sea level, you have to travel 12 km from the town of Ljubno ob Savinji in the direction towards Smrekovec.
The farm is intended for those who desire peace and tranquility, as it is surrounded by mysterious forests, extensive hills and numerous meadows. And while enjoying your stay in this beautiful landscape, you may let your mind and health benefit from placid and tranquil influence of the nature.
On the farm, each season has its unique charm. In winter, when the nature is in the state of dormancy, you can take some activities in the snow, and when the night falls, you can enjoy sitting close to the baker's oven, have a rest or engage in chatting with the family. In spring you can admire the awakening nature, and in summer you will probably look for shade in the shelter of the forest or help haymaking. When autumn comes it is time to explore the nature again.

The guests who decide to stay at the Visocnik Tourist Farm can be accommodated in 1 apartment with 5 beds, and 4 rooms with 12 beds. We offer half-board or bed and breakfast. As there are numerous mountain paths crossing the area, we are happy to welcome transient visitors or groups of up to 35 people who book in advance. You will be offered house cold-cuts with 'savinjski zelodec' (a stomach sausage typical of the Upper Savinja Valley), home- made bread and a selection of other dried meat products, or delicious lunch or dinner. You will enjoy the regional and diverse cuisine encompassing local specialities, such as all kinds of meat, meat products, milk, dairy products, vegetables, delicious Slovenian typical dishes such as 'srukelj', 'zlinkrof' and home prepared desserts. In this way, the old tradition is revived, reminding us of the time when our grandmothers devoted enough time to cooking and food preparation. As the Visočnik Tourist Farm applies ecological approach to food cultivation and production, they offer a great diversity of health and home produced food.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
The location of the farm is ideal for families with children, as there are a lot of places for play and amusement. Besides, the farm is an excellent starting point for mountain- hiking and hill- walking. Fitter climbers may take more demanding routs, such as Smrekovec (1577m), Komen (1684m), Travnik (1637m), and Raduha (2062m). Those guests who prefer shorter outings can visit the Sopot spring, Smrekovec, the Golte, etc…
Numerous paths and tracks will entice you to gather forest fruits and herbs. The tours to the flower park Mozirski gaj, the valley Robanov kot, the valley Matkov kot, the Logar Valley, the cave Snežna jama etc., may become your memorable experience, as well as the trips to many cultural-historical sights in the Upper Savinja Valley.
There are a lot of possibilities for your free-time activities. Visitors can go rafting or canoeing on the Savinja river, mountainbiking, parachute jumping, fishing and hunting in the surrounding area.
In winter the guests are offered to use a small ski lift which is there on the farm and is suitable for skiers beginners. More experienced skiers can go skiing on the near-by Golte ski resort.
